Monday News: 8/4-5/08

It's a whole new world for the comics.

Well a few days ago I said that Becky may be revised after some constructive criticism from fans. The art style will change not only to fit the comedy of the comic but also to make it easier to draw. This will mean a revamp but don't worry, the three pilot comics will be available in the archives. Babe Flexible also had some of the same complaints. Most fans feel confused with the panel placement and the intersecting dialog. Babe Flexible will carry the same storyline just with new art. Like Becky it will have a similar new style but the pilot comics will not be featured in the archive. So if you're a hardcore fan, time to save those .jpg files. With the new styles I will be able to make a lot more comics and give all the comics one coherent look. The Ricky Ray Show is good as is. The panel compositions may change for full page issues because of similar complaints but that's it. So Becky will still be becky only with better writing and composition, Babe Flexible my change for the best, and the Ricky Ray Show is golden. A whole new me!

WOW! Lots of new things coming to the site with an even better version of me! It's good to see Ricky finding a style for all his comics and I can't wait to see a more fun and cartoony Becky comic. Well enough about Ricky's new direction. Let's get back to something more familiar. This week's gaming news!

Diablo 3, not dark enough?

It turns out fans of Blizzard's new Diablo title aren't happy with the new art style. Along with a 52,000+ signature protest, fans have photoshoped comparison images of how the game should look. Most fans believe that the game isn't dark enough and should look more gothic with less color. Blizzard gave the finger while telling all the angry fans that they don't care and production will continue as is. I personally agree with Blizzard on this one. It's there game, let them do what they want. I don't see a problem with the new, more colorful Diablo. If you don't like it just pop in Diablo 2 and stop crying over a major corporation not giving in to your selfish little needs.

While I'm a huge 360 fan it looks like Playstation is finally getting their act together. Little Blue Planet has got to be the most fun a girl can have with dirty little sock puppet... people... things. Gamespot.com had a hands-on article about the upcoming Playstation 3 title revealing some cool new things about the gamplay. After seeing what Playstation did with the Little Big Planet in-game tools for their E3 Press Conference, there really isn't anything you can't do with this game. Let's hope this game doesn't share the same results as spore when everybody used the game as their very own porn joke factory. That's all for this week. See you soon.
