Sweet Jesus, What a Background?

If you haven't noticed, I really like the new background. Thanks Ricky for giving me a really nice ass. I'm totally digging that outfit as well. As much as I would love to go on and on about how awesome I look, we got some E3 news to cover.

Final Thoughts On E3 2010

Hands down the best part of E3 2010 was Nintendo's Press Conference. After four years of casual gaming, Nintendo actually came through for the hardcore fans this year.

The event started with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. After that was a bunch of casual games nobody cared about. As soon as I though Nintendo was dropping the ball, they announced a remake of Goldeneye for the Wii!

For all you youngsters out there, Goldeneye was a first-person shooter for the N64. It was crafted from the depths of awesome by every god of every religion. One game to rule them all. I guess you can say it was a pretty good game. Nintendo decided to remake the game with Daniel Craig as James Bond instead of Pierce Brosnan who appeared in both the game and the movie.

Nintendo then showed off “Kirby's Epic Yarn.” You play as Kirby and I guess you have a ball of yarn... THAT IS EPIC! But no ball of yarn is as epic as Nintendo's announcement of a Donkey Kong Country sequel coming to the Wii! All hail Donkey Kong!

Nintendo ended things with a bang as it showed off the Nintendo 3DS with a new Kid Icarus title. I think it's safe to say that Nintendo stole the show at E3 this year.

While Nintendo's Press Conference kicked major ass, there was one other thing that got my attention. A throw back to a franchise that rivaled the Street Fighter series. Mortal Kombat has returned to it's 2D roots with a multitude of characters from the classic Mortal Kombat series. I guess you can say that Mortal Kombat made a “Komeback” this year at E3. I know, that was kind of lame, but who cares? Mortal Kombat is back!
